The Busker Single Pot Still

A little background

The Busker is a “new world” Irish Whiskey that pays homage to its Irish roots. But unlike other Irish Whiskies, The Busker was born to be in America. The Busker Single Pot Still is part of The Busker Single Collection. According to The Busker, in the history of Ireland, the centuries-old production of whiskey has always consisted of three classic styles: Single Grain, Single Malt and Single Pot Still. The Busker Single Pot Still is matured and finished in bourbon and sherry casks before being bottled at 88.6 proof and sold for an MSRP of around $30 USD.

Color

Amber

Nose

Light and refreshing with notes of honey, lemon citrus, cocoa, vanilla, and a pleasant nuttiness.

Palate

Sweet and oily with a nice mouthfeel. Pleasant notes of graham cracker, malt, caramel, baking spice, cocoa, and a nice earthiness.

Finish

Moderately long with notes of malt, vanilla, fruit, and lemon citrus.

In closing

The Busker Single Pot Still boasts an impressive mouthfeel and nice malty profile of flavor. I do enjoy that this whiskey is bottled at a slightly higher proof, giving it a bit more punch and richness. The Busker Single Pot Still is an exceptionally good bottle of Irish Whiskey that more than worthy of sipping neat. At $30, this is a must-buy!
