The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth

A little background

The Busker is a “new to world” Irish Whiskey that pays homage to its Irish roots. But unlike other Irish Whiskies, The Busker was born to be in America. The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth is an extraordinary Blend made with a high-quality Single Grain and a very high percentage of Single Malt and Single Pot Still. This whiskey is matured in Bourbon, Marsala, and Sherry Casks before being bottled at 80 proof. The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth has an MSRP of just under $30$ USD.

Color

Gold

Nose

Hints of honey, lemon, cereal, and malt. Light and pleasantly sweet.

Palate

Sweet on the palate with notes of almonds, honey, vanilla, simple syrup, graham cracker, cinnamon, and a hint of mint. The mouthfeel is quite impressive given the low proof.

Finish

A pleasantly long finish with many of the notes from the palate varying through. Malty mint and lemon flavors stick around for quite some time.

In closing

The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth is quite impressive, especially considering it’s bottled at just 80 proof and available for under $30 bucks! The mouthfeel is quite nice and the finish keeps you coming back for more. It does drink hotter than 80 proof, but coming from someone that prefers a cask strength whiskey, this is actually a good thing. The Busker Triple Cask Triple Smooth is absolutely stunning value a bottle I recommend picking up!
