Hot Corn
"Hot Corn" is a 1:1 blend of Old Grand-Dad 114 bourbon and Mellow Corn Bottled in Bond Straight Corn Whiskey. This is a unique blend that capitalizes on the heat from the OGD 114 and the corn from the Mellow Corn's primarily corn mashbill. All in, this can be made for around $35 bucks!

Instructions
  1. For a ready to to drink blend of Hot Cown, pour equal parts of Old Grand-Dad 114 and Mellow Corn BiB into a glass. Give it a swirl and let sit for 5-10 minutes. Then, enjoy!
  2. If you're a patient man (or woman), we suggest letting your Hot Corn sit for a bit and mingle. Mix equal parts of Old Grand-Dad 114 and Mellow Corn BiB into a empty glass container. Allow the two whiskies to mingle for at least 24-hours, if not longer. Then, enjoy!

  1. Two old school favorites…the label for Mellow Corn was designed in 1945 and has not changed since then. OGD 114 is the best high rye mash bill bourbon out there, bar none. Both are getting harder and harder to find, in fact I just put a sealed bottle of each in the back of the cabinet along with the old Laphroaig 15 and some older Ardbeg 10s for the day when they are no more…

  2. I just got some OGD 114, and already have and like the Mellow Corn, this could be an interesting taste.
