A little background

Belle of Dayton’s Detrick Bourbon pays homage to the historic Detrick Distilling Co. that was founded in Dayton in the pre-prohibition era. Their bourbon is a rare 5-grain mash bill of corn, oats, rye, wheat, and malted barley that is distilled with naturally filtered water from the Great Miami Buried Valley Aquifer.

The intricate flavor and full-bodied texture of Detrick Bourbon are a result of slow pot distillation, followed by aging in a hand-toasted, 53-gallon white oak cask. Each bottle is drawn from a single barrel, ensuring a unique sipping experience that is both elegant and satisfying.

Belle of Dayton Distillery takes pride in crafting premium spirits that are rooted in the local history and culture of Dayton, Ohio. With the release of Detrick Bourbon, they continue this tradition, offering a Bourbon that is both delicious and historic. Detrick Full Proof Single Barrel Bourbon Batch 005 went into the barrel 02/23/2017 and was dumped on 03/07/2024, making this Bourbon just over 7 years old. It is bottled at 123 Proof and has a retail price of right around $100 USD.

Detrick Full Proof Single Barrel Bourbon Batch 005 is available online exclusively from Seelbach’s.
