A little background
The World Whiskey Society, in collaboration with Ducks Unlimited, presents the Shotgun Shell American Single Malt Whiskey, a limited-edition expression that blends fine craftsmanship with a nod to hunting heritage. Distilled in Oklahoma, this non-age-statement (NAS) single malt is crafted from a 100% malted barley mash bill and bottled at 48% ABV (96 proof). Priced at $120, it is housed in a striking red-fluted glass bottle inspired by a shotgun shell, complete with a custom-engraved cap and encased in a gun barrel-inspired metal tube, making it a distinctive collector’s piece.
This whiskey reflects the World Whiskey Society’s commitment to innovation and authenticity, paired with Ducks Unlimited’s dedication to conservation. The bespoke packaging not only serves as a conversation starter but also underscores the brand’s focus on creating unique, high-quality spirits that stand out in both design and substance.

In closing
The World Whiskey Society Ducks Unlimited American Single Malt Whiskey is a standout in the growing American single malt category, delivering a citrus-forward and honeyed profile that balances approachability with depth. Its nose of honeyed cereal, florals, and ripe fruit leads to an oily, mouth-coating palate of honeycomb, almond, and subtle spices, culminating in a warm, medium-long finish with spiced honey and lingering fruity notes.
The unique shotgun shell bottle and partnership with Ducks Unlimited not only make it a collector’s gem and an ideal gift for outdoorsmen but also support a meaningful conservation cause.
