A little background
Founded in 2020, the World Whiskey Society (WWS) curates an ultra-premium selection of rare and unique whiskeys, previously unavailable to even the most discerning enthusiasts. They collaborate with distilleries around the globe and innovate by finishing small-batch releases in exotic oak barrels, ensuring a diverse range of flavors from delicate to bold.
Long before John Henry Holliday earned his reputation as “Doc,” the Wild West’s slickest gunslinger, he was a man of intellect, discipline, and precision—a skilled dentist with a doctorate from one of the nation’s top schools. Doc’s story is one of contrasts: a Southern gentleman known for loyalty and camaraderie, yet equally renowned for his sharp wit and sharper aim during the legendary Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. The World Whiskey Society’s 15-Year Doc Holliday Straight Bourbon Whiskey pays homage to this multifaceted icon. Crafted with a mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley, and bottled at an uncompromising 123 proof, this bourbon is as bold and complex as its namesake. At $400 a bottle, it’s a true collector’s piece—a salute to loyalty, friendship, and the enduring legend of Doc Holliday.
