In closing
Bardstown Bourbon Company Discovery Series #4 is a wonderful blend of Kentucky Bourbon that is solid from start to finish. The nose is enticing with the brown sugar and molasses begging you senses to dive right in. The creamy palate is viscous and coats the mouth extremely well. The dry flavors on the palate are balanced nicely by the sweet fruit note that carries from start to finish. The finish is the highlight of the experience.
A beautiful blend of what makes older whiskey great with the oak and char really giving that Kentucky hug a nice lingering finish. The rye spice that gives your taste buds that little pinch is the cherry on top. At $134.95, Bardstown Bourbon Company Discovery Series #4 is appropriately priced for the aged whiskey that is used for the blend with the aromas and flavors really driving home that the bottle is worth every penny. I would definitely buy again given the opportunity and would recommend to more seasoned whiskey enthusiasts because of the bolder oak and char flavors.
