Jack Daniels Bonded Tennessee Whiskey

A Little Background

In 1864 Jasper Newton Daniels, also known as Jack, introduced the world to his signature whiskey Old No. 7. Through the years Jack Daniels has become world renowned for its signature charcoal mellowing process and smooth taste while continuing to create new and amazing whiskey’s.

In 2022 master distiller Chris Fletcher added Jack Daniel’s Bonded Tennessee Whiskey to an already stellar lineup sharing the same mashbill as the original Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey. Adding bonded to the label means that each expression is distilled in Lynchburg, Tennessee, in the same distilling season, aged to the stipulations of the Bottled in Bond Act, then blended and bottled at 100 proof.

Mashbill: 80% Corn / 12% Malted Barley / 8% Rye
Location:Lynchburg, Tennessee
Age:Aged at least 4 Years
Proof / ABV: 100 / 50%
Retail Price: $30

(Tasted neat from a Glencairn Glass)

Finish

In closing

For $30 a bottle its hard to find much wrong with Jack Daniels Bonded Tennessee Whiskey.

The nose is packed full of aromas that entice the drinker instantly especially when there is not a hint of ethanol to be found. The palate is creamy and sweet but not overly sweet. Sweet corn and vanilla get the taste buds jump started with smooth caramel coming in midway that can only be described as eating a Werther’s Original candy. The finish is char and burnt oak mixed with some rye spice. As a low heat begins to build a beautiful banana bread aroma and aftertaste begins to come back.

For the price and experience I would definitely recommend grabbing yourself a bottle as it is an easy sipping whiskey that can be enjoyed in the heat of summer or the dead of winter.
