First third
The Johnny Tobacconaut starts with a creamy smoke that reminded me of some of the best Connecticut shade cigars, but this is not a traditional Connecticut. In fact, it’s not a Connecticut at all. The Ecuadorian Shade Grown wrapper and Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos bring through notes of cinnamon, grass or hay, and a subtle sugar note. The retrohale on the first third showcases a decent amount of spice, hay, and the sugary note shows up in the retrohale as well.
Second Third
The middle third brings in an interesting cola note. This becomes noticeable as the pepper fades into non-existence. This note is comprised of notes of cinnamon, sugary cereal, and graham crackers. The retrohale changes to graham crackers. It reminded me of the smell of opening a new package of Honey Maid graham crackers.
Final Third
The final third brings back some of the earliest flavors. The slight pepper and hay return. The flavor shifts in this cigar are subdued, but if you are paying attention, you will notice them. This is nice because it makes the cigar enjoyable without having to really pay attention to the smoke.

In closing
Room 101 brings a strong offering to Luxury Cigar Club with the Johnny Tobacconaut. The flavors were enjoyable. The construction was excellent. The burn was even and there was plenty of smoke output. The retrohale was very enjoyable and I found myself retrohaling much more than I usually do. The only issue I ran into was the band had quite a bit of excess glue on in which damaged the wrapper when I removed the band. Overall, this was an enjoyable cigar. If you can get your hands on one you should.
