Mortlach 16-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

A Little Background

Mortlach 16-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is inspired by the iconic and rewarding first bottling of the 16-year-old released in 1992. Distilled using the 2.81 distilling process, a process that’s been unchanged for nearly 200 years. This Whisky has been matured in only Sherry casks to impart rich, fruity, and fragrant notes atop the beasty complexity synonymous with Mortlach. Mortlach 16 is bottled at 86.8 Proof and has a retail price of around $110 USD.

In closing

Simply put, Mortlach 16-Year-Old is an outstanding value and exceptional Single Malt. The experience of Mortlach 16 starts off with a beautiful nose that’s both deep and rich. The palate is viscous and rich while the finish is pleasantly long. Many of the flavors from the palate linger through to the finish. For Single Malt Whisky that’s got a price tag of just over $100, Mortlach 16 Year is an insane value.
