Color

Amber

Nose

The nose is greeted by notes of sweet corn, allspice, and oak.

Palate

The first sip revealed a medium-thin viscosity that was accompanied by notes of oak and vanilla. The second sip was bight with pleasant and accompanied by white fruit notes. The third sip was an enhanced combination of the tasting notes above.

Finish

The finish starts with a bust of cinnamon and allspice. A oak note lingers as the finish begins to fade.

In closing

Blue Note Juke Joint Whiskey is an interesting Kentucky Bourbon created in Memphis, Tn. The spirit is not overly complex. Notes of allspice and oak were constant throughout the tasting and finish. This spirit may not be for everyone, but those who enjoy high-rye spirits may be a fan. At a very fair price of $30, this one is worth picking up.
