Nose

Cinnamon, baking spice, caramel, roasted nuts, and a touch of fruit cake.

Chocolate, nuts, coffee, butterscotch, and a good bit of wood influence.

Finish

A decently long and dry finish with notes of vanilla, spice, nuts, bittersweet chocolate, and oak.

In closing

Overall, Belfour Bourbon Whiskey Finished With Texas Pecan Wood is an enjoyable whiskey with some interesting notes. Despite being lower proof at just 46% ABV, this bourbon does have a nice balance of heat. For a sub two-year-old bourbon, there are some nicely developed complex flavors and an overall pleasant flavor profile. The biggest disappointment about this bourbon is the price, as $90 is quite steep for a whiskey of this age, regardless if it comes in one of the nicest bottles I’ve ever seen. Seriously, this thing can be repurposed as a beautiful decanter! So, if you’re looking for something new or are a die hard hockey fan, this is one you should definitely try.
