Color

Dark Gold

Nose

Meyer lemon, orange, ginger, rhubarb, apricots, plum, baking spice, and oak.

Palate

Dates, caramel, walnuts, golden raisins, dense oak, cinnamon, cherry, and a touch of spice.

Finish

Graham cracker, grapes, plum, cinnamon, oak, espresso, white pepper, and banking spice.

In closing

Overall, 15 Stars Three Ports is a standout expression characterized by its abundant fruit notes. The nose is immediately expressive, showcasing a medley of citrus, spice, and orchard fruits. On the palate, the whiskey is viscous and sweet, with a satisfying bloom of flavors. The finish is rich and sweet, echoing the fruitiness with a pleasant touch of spice and a supporting backbone of oak. I found this whiskey to be particularly enjoyable at its 105 proof, where the sweetness is present but well-managed.
