B.R. Distilling Company Launches Limited Release Blue Note Cherry Wood Cask

Award-Winning Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Wild-Cherry Barrels Harvested from the Jura Region of Eastern France

Memphis, TN (August 24, 2026) – B.R. Distilling, parent company of Blue Note Bourbon™, the award-winning whiskey portfolio which is artfully crafted to honor the rich blues music that is synonymous with Memphis, has launched a limited release Cherry Wood Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Exploring the art of alternative cooperage, Cherry Wood Cask is aged in American Oak and finished in sustainably harvested wild-cherry wood casks from the Jura region of eastern France. This cask finished straight bourbon whiskey delivers a distinctive balance of depth and brightness. Memphis heat and humidity draw rich character from the wood, layering vibrant cherry, warm spice, gentle sweetness and subtle toasted notes into every sip, culminating in an unmistakably unique finish that lingers.

The new limited release features a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley, and was bottled at cask strength (120 proof or 60% ABV), unfiltered.

“With our new Cherry Cask, we set out to create something that honors the timeless character of great whiskey while introducing a fresh layer of complexity,” said Dan Jurkovic, National Sales Director, B.R. Distilling Co. “The influence of the cherry cask nicely complements the whiskey’s natural richness while finishing the expression at cask strength helps preserve its underlying structure to balance the sweetness. It’s an elegant expression that offers whiskey enthusiasts something new to discover while remaining exceptionally approachable for those exploring premium whiskey for the first time.”

The award-winning Blue Note portfolio also includes the flagship Juke Joint ($34.99), Toasted (formerly known as Crossroads) ($44.99), Uncut ($49.99), and Straight Rye Whiskey ($34.99) expressions. In recent years, Blue Note has introduced several highly awarded limited-release offerings, which include Premium Small Batch, Single Barrel Reserve, Special Reserve, 17-year, and a Honey Rye and Honey Bourbon Cask.

Approximately 1,000 cases of Blue Note Cherry Wood Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey are available for purchase online via Seelbach’s and in the following U.S. states: GA, KS, KY, MI, MO and TN. The suggested retail price for a 750ml bottle is $64.99.
