A little background
Founded in 2020, the World Whiskey Society (WWS) curates an ultra-premium selection of rare and unique whiskeys, previously unavailable to even the most discerning enthusiasts. We collaborate with distilleries around the globe and innovate by finishing small-batch bourbons in exotic oak barrels, ensuring a diverse range of flavors from delicate to bold.
World Whiskey Society 12-Year Straight Rye Whiskey in Awamori Cask was distilled in Indiana from 95% Rye and 5% Malted Barley. Awamori casks are traditional Japanese barrels used to age Awamori, a unique spirit made from long-grain rice, primarily produced in Okinawa. Known for imparting distinctive flavors and aromas, these casks enhance the spirit’s character while reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the region. World Whiskey Society 12-Year Straight Rye Whiskey in Awamori Cask is bottled at 96 Proof and carries a retail price of $170 USD.
