If sweet whiskey is your thing or you’re looking for a great dessert pour, World Whiskey Society Couture Collection 6-Year Straight Bourbon Finished in Sherry Oloroso Barrels is for you! This Bourbon is super sweet at its core, from the nose through to the finish. Although I found it to be slightly lacking substance, the flavor profile is undeniably delicious. The nose was in my opinion its best quality, however, the grape Kool-Aid flavors on the palate and cocoa on the finish was quite enjoyable as well.

Coming from a 99% corn mash bill, World Whiskey Societies 6-Year Straight Bourbon Finished in Sherry Oloroso Barrels really shocked me. It’s amazing how a “mostly” corn whiskey at this age took on such wonderful flavors from its time spent in Oloroso casks. At $84, this is definitely a solid buy!
