(Tasted neat from a Glencairn Glass)
Color
Golden Honey
Nose
The nose is very pleasant with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, toffee, sweet oak and dark cherry. The vanilla and cherry really shine.
Palate
The palate follows the nose and gives off a big note of vanilla followed by notes of toffee, dark cherry, oak, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The bourbon has a medium viscosity.
Finish
The whiskey hits the middle palate, goes to the back palate, and then has a medium length finish. The notes of vanilla and dark cherry carry through, but more prominent notes of cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg linger.
In closing
This was a very enjoyable bourbon and another solid release by Limestone Branch Distillery in their limited edition lineup. At $100, I think there are probably better values out there, but this is definitely a bottle that I would enjoy having on my bar if the budget permitted!
