Today they’re leveraging years of experience that their production team gained from working at other successful distilleries. This bourbon is bottled at 88 Proof and has a retail price of just under $60.

Color

Gold

Nose

Lemon meringue, vanilla, spice, citrus, and an overall youthfulness.

Palate

Orange saltwater taffy, fudge, vanilla, and honey.

Finish

Simple syrup, toasted marshmallow, vanilla, and honey smacks cereal. The finish is medium in length and quite sweet.

In closing

Mythology Best Friend Bourbon is an overall pleasant whiskey with a wonderful sweet flavor profile. This whiskey is a unique blend of older Kentucky Bourbon and much younger Indiana Bourbon that all came together to produce a very enjoyable spirit. My guess is the majority of the whiskey that went into Mythology Best Friend Bourbon is on the younger end of the spectrum, but that’s okay seeing that it’s priced accordingly. Again, this is an overall pleasant bourbon and a great indication of the very exciting things that are sure to come from Mythology Distillery. Pick up a bottle or two, you won’t be disappointed.
