Hardin’s Creek Warehouse Series Release No. 1, known as “The Mushroom,” is part of a three-bottle collection that examines how warehouse architecture influences the character of an otherwise identical bourbon. Distilled at the Jim Beam Distillery and aged for 11 years, this expression is built from the same mash bill used across the series and matured in Warehouse R, a rare, single-story structure with no windows and a consistently cool, low-light environment. By holding every production variable constant except the warehouse itself, the series aims to showcase the direct impact of microclimate, airflow, and structural design on the final whiskey.

The Warehouse Series continues Hardin’s Creek’s broader exploration of American whiskey heritage, following prior releases such as Jacob’s Well, Colonel James B. Beam, and the Kentucky Series. Led by Eighth Generation Master Distiller Freddie Noe, the project highlights the experimental side of the James B. Beam Distilling Co., combining long-standing craftsmanship with conceptual aging studies. “The Mushroom” is bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV), carries an 11-year age statement, and is offered at an MSRP of $150 for a 700ml bottle, contributing to Hardin’s Creek’s lineup of limited and uniquely structured releases.
