Barrell Craft Spirits (BCS), is an award winning independent blender of unique aged, cask-strength whiskey and rum. Barrell Craft Spirits Seagrass Gold (2022 Release) features 20-year rye whiskey, meticulously sourced and finished in Martinique rum, Malmsey Madeira, and apricot brandy casks. The whiskey that went into this release was distilled in Canada and crafted/bottled at cast strength (128.12 Proof) in Kentucky. According to Barrell Craft Spirits Founder Joe Beatrice, “Gold Label Seagrass epitomizes our team’s expertise in global sourcing and blending both in whiskey and finishing material”. Palate
Bright cherry, orange marmalade, baking spice, apricot, tropical fruits.

Rhubarb, cocoa, Robert Rothschild Pepper Jelly, Apricot, herbal lemon citrus tea with honey.
In closing
This is an exquisite whiskey that is above and beyond any and all expectations. At nearly 130 Proof, the alcohol is incredibly well integrated throughout. The nose immediately lets you know this is something special, followed by a buttery viscous palate and long and complex finish. Although on the pricey end at $499, Barrell Craft Spirits Seagrass Gold (2022 Release) is a fantastic whiskey and one you should absolutely try.
