Treaty Oak Distilling is named after a 28-acre ranch home located in Dripping Springs, Texas. The Treaty Oak Red Handed Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is curated from the Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. The mash bill consists of 78% Corn, 12% Rye, and 10% Barley. After aging for two years, this spirit is bottled at 95 proof. MSRP is set at approximately $40.

Nose
The nose is filled with rye and baking spice notes. As the spirit begins to open, a rich essence of cinnamon, vanilla, and honey begin to appear.
Palate
The first sip has a medium viscosity and a subtle pop of rye spice. A young oak note is present as well. The second sip begins with notes of corn and oak that transition to fading hints of malted barley. The third sip compliments the first two with an addition of a scotch-like smokiness.
Finish
The finish begins with a flash of rye spice and bitter oak. As the finish begins to fade, notes of cinnamon and honey begin to appear.

Treaty Oak Red Handed Kentucky Straight Bourbon is an interesting pour. You can expect a straightforward consistency when nosing and tasting this bourbon. The nose is rich with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and honey. Rye spice and oak notes are prominent throughout the tasting experience.
