Three Chord Blended Bourbon Whiskey Batch 0001

A little background

Three Chord Bourbon Company carefully selects their bourbon and rye whiskies from distillers in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana. Once the perfect blend is chosen, a propriety process is performed to ensure specific flavors can be found in their product. The first process is called pyrolysis. Pyrolysis is the process of heating American oak to specific temperatures so that the wood releases specific flavor and aroma compounds. Additionally, rhythmic disruption is used to intergrade the compounds into the Three Chord blended spirit. The mash bill consists of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. The final product registers at 81 proof and a price tag of $44.75

Color

Medium Amber

Nose

Vanilla, caramel, tree nuts, and a slight maple syrup aroma were present.

Palate

The first sip was mild with vanilla and tree nut notes. The second sip was similar; however, faint caramel notes were present. The third sip provided the same flavor profile with the above notes a little more pronounced.

Finish

The finish was short to medium. However, the lingering vanilla and maple syrup were noted. The low proof of this bourbon left a desire for a bolder and more pronounced finish.

In conclusion

Three Chord Blended Bourbon Whiskey is a quality product. The time, thought, and energy created a harmonious product that would be enticing to anyone who enjoys a low proof, easy sipping, bourbon. Should you find a bottle sitting on the shelf, we suggest you pick it up and give it a try for yourself.
