
A little background
Huling station from Old Dominick was created as a homage to the 1886 whiskeys of Memphis, Tennessee. Old Dominick is known from their Huling Station Straight Bourbon Whiskey. However, we are excited to bring you a review of their newly released Straight Wheat Whiskey. The mash bill consists of 83% wheat, 12% corn, and 5% malted barley. This spirit is bottled at 90 proof and MSRP approximately $45.99.

Nose
The nose is sweet and rich. Notes of warm baking spices are accompanied by faint hints of clove and honey. After some time in the glass, notes of smoked brown sugar and toasted oak begin to appear.
Palate
The first sip has a medium viscosity that coats the mid and font palate. A distinct sweetness is complimented by notes of vanilla and toasted oak. The second sip warms the palate with a toasted candy sweetness. Baking spices and vanilla are the most prominent notes. The third sip coats he entire palate with notes of allspice, clove, cinnamon, and faint hints of hay.
Finish
The finish is long and pleasant. A slight oak bitterness quickly transitions into notes of toasted oak, vanilla, and allspice. As the finish begins to fade, faint notes of honey and clove begin to appear.
