Detrick Full Proof Single Barrel Bourbon Batch 001

A little background

Belle of Dayton Distillery is set to release their first ever bourbon on May 1st, 2023, Detrick Single Barrel Bourbon. Detrick Bourbon, which pays homage to the historic Detrick Distilling Co. that was founded in Dayton in the pre-prohibition era. The new bourbon is a rare 5-grain mash bill of corn, oats, rye, wheat, and malted barley that is distilled with naturally filtered water from the Great Miami Buried Valley Aquifer.

The intricate flavor and full-bodied texture of Detrick Bourbon are a result of slow pot distillation, followed by aging in a hand-toasted, 53-gallon white oak cask. Each bottle is drawn from a single barrel, ensuring a unique sipping experience that is both elegant and satisfying.

The LaSelle Brothers, who founded Belle of Dayton Distillery, were inspired by the ambition of Frank Detrick, the founder of the historic Detrick Distilling Co., and they sought to create a bourbon whiskey that was genuine and unique. The result is a product that has been nearly a decade in the making, and that relieves a century of anticipation, as it is the first bourbon made in Dayton since Prohibition.
