Brothers Bond Bottled in Bond 7-Year Bourbon

A little background

Brother’s Bond Bourbon, co-founded by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, has introduced its latest expression: Brother’s Bond 7-Year Old Bottled in Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Adhering to the rigorous Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, this bourbon is aged seven years, bottled at 100 proof, and crafted from a high-rye, three-grain mash bill of 51% corn, 39% rye, and 10% malted rye. This non-chill filtered bourbon boasts rich complexity, drawing from its deep barrel char and the brand’s commitment to exceptional quality and tradition. With a suggested retail price of $59.99, this new addition adds depth to Brother’s Bond’s award-winning portfolio, honoring the heritage of American whiskey.

In closing

In conclusion, Brother’s Bond Bottled in Bond 7-Year Bourbon presents a straightforward, approachable profile. While the nose, with hints of orange, vanilla, and hazelnut, is pleasant, it feels muted and somewhat generic for a bottled-in-bond expression. On the palate, sweet lemon tea, citrus, and cinnamon offer a soft, uncomplicated experience, and the finish, though brief, brings out lingering notes of chocolate, vanilla, and spice. The mouthfeel is average, without much depth or complexity. Overall, this bourbon offers enjoyable, easy-drinking flavors but lacks the bold character and finish that might elevate it among more memorable bottlings.
