How long can Poor Man’s Pappy last in a decanter?

Stop calling this poor man’s pappy. You can’t get you hands on weller for under 3 digits. And, that’s each bottle! So stop calling it poor man’s pappy because it isn’t…

If you live in Ohio most weller is msrp which is indeed far under 3 digits… just depends on your state, I’m betting I get my hands on the weller to blend this “poor mans pappy” faster than I win the bottle lottery for the actual pappy

    Womp womp

Compared to 4 digits for Pappy three digits is a poor man’s pappy

Is it the same as Old Rip 12? No. Is it the same as Pappy 15? No.

    Is it close?

    Yes.

Is it phenomenal? I’m drinking some right now and it’s outstanding.

Correct. My dad lives there. Picked up a bottle of 107 for $63.

I have the 12 too but got it here in TN. Paid $109 I think, but it was marked up.

Weller green label is the same as Pappy just not aged for 10 years. Hard to tell the difference as it’s 7-8 years aged.

Weller green is the same as Pappy only aged 7-8 years.

I live in Ohio. All liquors are sold at MSRP. So I got the Weller 12 for $50 and the Antique for $60. You just have to be willing to wait in line for 30 minutes when they release it. I’m drinking poor man’s Pappy right now. It’s not Pappy but it tastes good.

Bought 4 bottles (2 of each) for $500. So 2 full bottles of “Poor Man’s Pappy”, a full bottle of 12yr left, and plenty of OWA to continue to sip on….. good deal in my opinion.

    I have made Prudent Pappy
    500ml makers cask strength
250ml Larceny small batch … I let it sit in a bottle for 30 days and it was really good … watched the SLB basement guys on YouTube with their top five blended whiskey… and since Makers and Larceny are easy to get I tried it
