JULY 30, 2024 (VERSAILLES, KY) — Today, Woodford Reserve releases a new limited-edition bottle as a part of its Distillery Series – Blended Malt.
This new expression combines two different malt whiskies. One was 100 percent malt aged in used barrels then finished in a Ruby Port Barrel. The other was a blend of five different styles of malt grains aged in new oak barrels.
“This showcases our ability to take complex barrels of whiskies, blend them together and create a new flavorful product,” said Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall.
Blended Malt is 90.4 proof and is part of Woodford Reserve’s Distillery Series, which was created to push Woodford Reserve’s creative boundaries and introduce new expressions to the market.
This limited-edition collection has an MSRP of $64.99 for a 375ml bottle and is available in limited quantities at select Kentucky retailers and at Woodford Reserve Distillery starting on July 30. Color: Orange Honey
Aroma: Raspberry preserves, nutty malt, with a hint of pumpkin spice and orange peel
Flavor: Candied nutty malt, raw oak and citrus oils
Finish: A long lingering finish of dark fruit, raspberry, raisins, fig, and a hint of allspice.
