A little background

Pursuit Spirits was brought to market by the creators of Bourbon Pursuit podcast, Kenny Coleman and Ryan Cecil. Pursuit United is a small-batch blend of straight bourbon whiskey from 3 different states, Kentucky (Bardstown Bourbon Company), Tennessee (undisclosed distillery), and New York (Finger Lakes Distilling). This small batch blend was created with partnerships to build the new flagship expression for Pursuit Spirits.Pursuit United is non-chill filtered, bottled at 108 proof, and has a retail price of $65 USD.

Gold

Nose

Cinnamon, honey, egg custard, stone fruit, bread pudding, and caramel.

Palate

Orange liqueur, toffee, corn, peach, and a touch of cinnamon. 

Finish

Bright cherry, oranges, light cocoa, simple syrup, cinnamon, and a continued peach.

In closing

Pursuit United is a classic bourbon with great flavor. The palate and mouthfeel is impressive with a burst of bright and bold flavor. The combination of the three unique whiskeys that went into this blend is a true testament of Kenny and Ryan’s blending abilities. Pursuit United Blended Straight Bourbon is well balanced, complex, and a treat for the senses. Simply put, Pursuit United Bourbon is a must buy.
