A little background
Huling station from Old Dominick was created as a homage to the 1886 whiskeys of Memphis, Tennessee. Old Dominick is known from their Huling Station Straight Bourbon Whiskey. However, we are excited to bring you a review of their newly released Blend of Straight Whiskeys. This spirit is the perfect blend of the signature Huling Station Straight Bourbon and Straight Wheat Whiskeys. The Old Dominick signature blend is bottled at 100 proof and MSRP is Approximately $45.99.

Nose
The nose is spicy and rich. Smoked oak, vanilla, and baking spices are most prominent. After some time in the glass, notes of butterscotch and caramel toffee begin to appear.
Palate
The first sip has a medium viscosity. A slight pop of heat transitions to an enveloping warmth on the palate. Baking spices, oak, and toasted vanilla notes stand out. The second sip begins with a nuttiness that transitions into bitter oak. However, these notes fade into warm rye spices and toasted oak. The third sip begins with a kick of rye spice that transitions into black pepper and toasted oak.
Finish
The finish is long and satisfying. Initially a young oak note is present. However, this note quickly fades to smoky vanilla, toasted oak, and allspice.
In closing
The Old Dominick Huling Station Blend of Straight Whiskeys is well balanced and delicious. The nose is spicy and rich. The palate pops with notes of rye spice and toasted vanilla. The finish is long, warm, and pleasant. Overall, this blend of straight whiskeys is well balanced and enticing. This bottle would make an awesome addition to any collection.
