A little background
Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon provides a chance to enjoy the proclaimed Heaven Hill wheated mash bill at cask strength. The mash bill consists of 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley. After aging for six to eight years, the spirit is non-chill filtered, and is then bottled at barrel proof. Each January, May, and September a new batch of Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon is released, this batch of B525 being released in May 2025.
Taking a closer look at the batch name, the “B” in B525 denotes that it is the second batch of the year, “5” is the month that it was released in (May), and “25” signifies the year it was released in. Larceny Barrel Proof B525 is bottled at 117.4 proof and carries a suggested retail price of around $65 USD.
