From the brand: To mark the 100 year anniversary of Calumet Farm, we proudly release this premium Rye Whiskey, a first for our stables. The ‘high rye’ mash bill produces subtle flavor undertones of caramel, baking spice, and warm oak. Bolder notes of dark fruit and pepper balance favorably, leading to a spicy rye character and long, yet smooth finish.

In closing
Calumet Farm Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey delivers a delightful and approachable sipping experience that shines whether enjoyed neat or in a cocktail. Its inviting nose of baking spices, apples, and caramel sets the stage for a sweet, well-rounded palate bursting with cinnamon, honey, and dried fruit, culminating in a pleasantly lingering finish with a touch of herbal mintiness and rye spice. The whiskey’s apple crumble-like quality and smooth mouthfeel make it a crowd-pleaser for both novice and seasoned rye enthusiasts. However, its higher price point and lack of an age statement may give some pause. Overall, this rye is a versatile and enjoyable addition to any whiskey collection, perfect for those seeking an easy-drinking yet flavorful pour.
