Barrell Craft Spirits (BCS), is an award winning independent blender of unique aged, cask-strength whiskey and rum. Released at the beginning of December, Barrell New Year Bourbon 2023 is a tribute to the optimism that every new year brings. This limited edition bottle is a selection of 5, 6, 7, 8, 10-year-old straight bourbon whiskeys that were distilled in TN, IN, KY, OH, WY, NY, TX & MD. Barrell New Year Bourbon is blended in Kentucky, bottled at 113.54 Proof and has a retail price of $85 USD.

Nose

On the nose, you’ll immediately notice the classic bourbon scents of caramel, vanilla, and toffee, as well as a hint of baking spice and fig newtons. These aromas set the stage for what’s to come.

Palate

On the palate, the flavors deepen and become more complex. You’ll taste sweet oranges, raisins, and figs, as well as notes of caramel, sweet syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla. Chopped pecans add a nutty depth to the overall profile.

Finish

The finish is medium long and pleasantly complex, with notes of orange, coffee, baking spice, honey, sweet buttery cinnamon toast, pecans, and just a hint of oak. The mouthfeel is syrupy sweet and enjoyable.
