Specially selected barrel of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select presented to the McLaren Racing team following landmark win by Lando Norris and the McLaren Formula 1 team
Lynchburg, Tennessee (July 11, 2024) – Jack Daniel’s recently presented McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown with a personalized barrel head and a specially selected barrel of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey to commemorate Lando Norris and McLaren Racing’s landmark win at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix.
The special barrel of Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select, which yields approximately 240 750 mL bottles at 94 proof, was barreled April 2018 and was selected and set aside when the McLaren team first visited the Jack Daniel Distillery in October 2022. Bottles #4 and #81 from the barrel will be presented to McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
“McLaren’s pursuit of performance shines through in everything they do, and we’re proud to see the team’s hard work lead to such an exciting finish at the Miami Grand Prix,” said Jack Daniel’s Global Managing Director Mark Bacon. “We wanted to congratulate the team on their performance and Lando’s first F1 win in a way that only Jack can – with a barrel of our Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey perfect for celebrating this special occasion.”
Jack Daniel’s and McLaren Racing launched a multi-year partnership in 2023 to collaborate on a variety of branded events and programs throughout the F1 season, including retail activations, marketing and advertising campaigns, limited-edition bottles of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, as well as branding on McLaren’s F1 cars, drivers’ uniforms, and pit-crew helmets.
Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select is 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% malted barley, and is bottled at 94 proof (47% abv). Distilled in Lynchburg, Tennessee, the whiskey is mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of charcoal before maturing in new, American white oak barrels handcrafted to the highest standards.
