2024 Remus Gatsby Reserve

A little background

Ross & Squibb Distillery introduces the 2024 edition of Remus Gatsby Reserve, the most exclusive release in the Remus Bourbon family. Crafted with 15-year-old reserves, this ultra-limited bourbon celebrates the opulence of the Roaring ’20s and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic The Great Gatsby. Bottled at cask strength with a proof of 104.9 (52.45% ABV), the 2024 edition blends two signature mash bills (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley; and 60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley), creating a bourbon that reflects the era’s sophistication. Available in limited quantities with a suggested retail price is $229.99 per 750mL bottle.

In closing

The 2024 Remus Gatsby Reserve delivers a distinctive and enjoyable experience, highlighted by its bold cherry-forward profile. The nose evokes the essence of a black cherry Manhattan, while the palate balances juicy flavors with a progressively drier character, leading to a medium-long finish layered with dusty cinnamon, licorice, and figs. This ultra-limited release showcases a masterful blend of complexity and approachability, making it a standout bourbon worthy of its Gatsby-inspired legacy.
