2021 Yellowstone Limited Edition Bourbon

A little background

2021 Yellowstone Limited Edition from Limestone Branch Distillery is a blend of 7-year-old and 15-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. The barrels used for this blend were selected by Limestone Branch Master Distiller Stephen Beam. Additionally, select 7-year-old barrels in this blend were finished in Amarone casks. 2021 Limited Edition will be bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV) and sold in custom-designed bottles for a suggested retail price of $99.99 per bottle.

Color

Dark Gold

Nose

Caramel, lime jello, orange marmalade, and artificial vanilla. Very light nose that’s filled with citrus and fruit.

Palate

Vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, tobacco, nutmeg, and flat cola. The palate is thick and rich.

Finish

A pronounced medium ling finish with notes of cinnamon, espresso, anise, strawberry jam, angostura bitters, caramel, and a hint of citrus fruit.

In closing

Simply out, the 2021 release of Yellowstone Limited Edition does not disappoint. It boasts complex and bold flavor with wonderful mouthfeel and finish. The alcohol is very well integrated, especially on the nose. At $99.99, this limited edition bourbon is a great value and for sure on my “must buy” list.
